Apples

Apples trees in Spring: There is more than just the aesthetic of the flowers, although it's a scene that I'll cherish forever.  It is the entirety of the setting where I work (landscape, season, light, ambience) which stirs me. April is the best month to see them reawakening, explosively, after the long, moody winter.  I set up my easel in the cider apple trees orchard, nearby an abandoned thousand year old ruin (Neaufles St Martin).  In such a setting, I dream of time immemorial, and ...Eden.
