I love this piece of work. honestly I feel It Is a surrealist work but It could also be expressed as an IllustratIve surrealist piece. I also do a lot of "heart paintings" I felt the same way but the shape has been an obsession since before I can remember. I'm glad I found this site and I'm not so afraid that my piece will be viewed as "corny". |

Posted by Christine on April 22, 2002 This artwork is both illustrative and surreal. Surreal because of how you chose to depict your feelings through art and illustrative b/c it expresses your personal feelings at that point in time. It appears that the relationship was cut short before it even had a chance to grow? . Pierre: Thank
you for your excellent question: I admit that I am seduced by the visual appearance of the surrealist art work, however I am not at all in the historical context. Like
Magritte warned that his pipe was not a pipe, I should affix to
my work the warning label: "this is not surrealist painting" |
