An Odd Looking Realistic painting is not necessarily surrealist

How do you describe your painting? I searched for surrealism, but when you read the description of what is surrealism, I do not recognize your style. There is symboles and stories; it is not dreams. ? .

 Pierre:

Thank you for your excellent question:
There is a difference between looking at the appearance of a painting and reading it .
As you pointed justly, surrealism is not a style, it was a subversive and wonderful art movement that has its place in the art history, around the ideas of Andre Breton.

I admit that I am seduced by the visual appearance of the surrealist art work, however I am not at all in the historical context.

like Magritte warned that his pipe was not a pipe, I should affix to my work the warning label: "this is not surrealist painting"

To illustrate my letter, see various pieces where indeed I asked myself the question.
