Thank you for your inquiry, about your painting love road.
I did other version of this painting, the one figuring on the web
was done prior to the one you are collecting now. The older one
is more heart shaped, because I painted it for the need of printing
something. Yours is more artistic, I figured that if was more delicate
and clever to not be too heavy on the heart shape effect, and a
little closer to nature. Also, it is more an end of summer-beginning
of Falls, so more colored. By the way, the one you have was done
outside, in front of a real scene of road and tree, in the French
countryside. The first one was painted in Miami, in my studio, with
no French trees to be seen!
A well known French photographer
(Henri Cartier Bresson) has done also a shoot,
in black and white of a similar scene, although it is not absolutely
sure that he knows there was an heart shape...(someone
can comment?) and I did not know about it prior to
do this painting.
As you have seen, I am really excited about painting hearts, and
I still do them actually . I hope you enjoy your painting, it make
me feel so good that someone cherishes it, and find inspiration
in them.
