...Marcel and Olivier adopted South Beach two years ago; it is the inspiration for most of their work. A seagull on the studio ceiling reads: Prospective et Fantastique. It might as well be their logo. Fantasy is their product. Their company is called Subject to Change...

Though still struggling, the artistic duo from Paris seems to hold the market on trompe l'oeil; their first grand illusion premiered at Lincoln Road's Wet Paint restaurant almost two years ago. Their artwork now adorns the walls of a Bal Harbour boutique, Oxygene, the Stilnovo furniture showroom in Coral Gables and the Tropical Surf i Bayside.

If you happened to look up at the ceiling at Million Dollar Baby - once a fancy strip joint in Miami Beach - you wouldn't forget the giant dollar bills floating on the ceiling, nor the chorus line of bare-breasted girls on the stairway. Subject to Change did that. When they finished, owner Peter Izaak liked it so much he commissioned them to do his apartment.
