  The first day of May, the anniversary of an American uprising is celebrated in France as the (Inter)National Worker's Day. Opportunity to let go loose some revolutionary appetites, here a malicious statement against the immoderate taste for the motif of lilies on the impressionist and pseudo impressionist canvases that submerge any respectable gallery in the USA who'd like to look a reputable old-world gallery. To say that Impressionism was then a revolutionary stands against the establishment, and now it is an old, beautiful, conservative lilly.
