Story:
As
an incorrigible Frenchy, I pronounce "fan" (ceiling
fan) the same way as "fun" (having fun). I still have to think
very hard to detect the difference. This, and my
own experience of laborious family outings at the
beach enable me to conceive this painting.
Ceiling fans
have been a recurrent little theme throughout my
work. I always leave one wobbling in the studio,
just for. . . fun.
