Story:
If ever there was a painting which seems to shows Magritte's influence on me, this is it. I painted this piece under the flowering apple tree in the yard behind my studio, an umbrella protecting me from the wind gusts. The apple blossoms literally blossomed before my eyes. In no time at all, little apple buds appeared. A few short weeks later, baring branches were the harbinger of the nearing harvest. In this painting, the 4 seasons are summer-ized.

Comments:
Marie Roure, February 18, 2002 : nice escapism
I really love this apple tree false romantic ambiance.. Very relaxing a time. The colors makes me think of some of my grand mothers' Japanese old prints...
(note, see Chinese style apple trees) A notion of family and warmth gets out of it.(...)
Did you ever read "la premiere gorgée de bière" from Philippe Delherm?
Very short novels about small details that one can notice all life long and special feelings in life. One is called " the apples' smell " and people who know the way apples are kept and can smell in a cellar in France, usually love this one, as while reading it you almost feel in that good smelling cellar!
Two or three pages and just like when looking at some of your paintings, one leaves reality, and feels older sensations from every day's life back...Marie.
